ENGINEERING ENTREPRENEURSHIP CERTIFICATE

Engineering Entrepreneurship (12 hours). This certificate is offered in partnership with the nationally-renowned Deming Center for Entrepreneurship in Colorado. It provides the student with the essential knowledge, understanding and skills to successfully practice entrepreneurship in a start-up venture or within a larger corporation (intrapreneurship).

The focus of our Engineering Entrepreneurship certificate program is on how to launch, lead and manage a viable business starting with concept validation to commercialization and business formation. The program culminates with the development of a business plan for a project you choose that you then pitch to business community leaders and venture capitalists.

Our Engineering Entrepreneurship certificate program was developed in collaboration with and highlighted by the Deming Center’s capstone course on business planning. The undergraduate curriculum is comprised of four core courses totaling 12 credits.

Note: If the following courses are taken in sequence, the certification can be completed in four semesters. EMEN 5825 is considered the capstone and must be taken as the final course of this Engineering Entrepreneurship certificate program.
