EMP Graduation Checklist
Master’s Exam - Fall 2009

  • Check your transcript and Plan of Study to verify that you have completed all of the required coursework for the degree. Use the EMP website http://emp.colorado.edu/degree/index.htm as a resource in reviewing the required courses.
  • For your convenience, access to your personal transcript is available at https://cuconnect.colorado.edu/uPortal/ Please attach a copy of your transcript to the Candidacy Form.
  • If you intend to graduate this semester, complete the Request for Candidacy Form and the Diploma Card Form and submit it to EMP by September 11th. Indicate all non-degree EMEN credits in the ‘Transfer’ section on the Candidacy form. EMP will review the forms and forward them to the Graduate School for final approval.
  • October 30th is the last day (deadline) for submitting the exam questions to Professor Lawton. This date is non-negotiable.
  • After you have successfully completed the Master’s Exam, EMP will generate a Masters Exam Report Form and process it through the Graduate School for you.
  • Traditionally, the College of Engineering and Applied Science conducts a separate Recognition Ceremony one day prior to the campus wide commencement event. The Fall 2009 Recognition Ceremony occurs on December 17th. If you choose to attend the Recognition Ceremony, confirm your attendance with the Engineering Dean’s office (303-492-5071) by November 16th.
  • Commencement information for the main campus graduation is posted at http://www.colorado.edu/commencement/ Generally, this website is updated in October. The Fall 2009 main campus graduation event is scheduled on December 18th.

In order to process your paperwork through the Graduate School, it is essential that Engineering Management receive your information on time.
