ASEM Meeting in the ESCEND Entrepreneurial CenterCU Boulder’s Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program (EMP) is proud to host a major industry conference in Denver this week. The American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) 2023 International Annual Conference and 44th Annual Meeting will occur from October 25, 2023, until through October 28, 2023, and draws managers, executives, and academics from across North America and internationally. A wide range of topics will be covered throughout its duration, including workshops, keynote speakers, and panelists. The uUniversity is hosting this event and boasts a substantial representation of the department from its faculty and staff.   

Among the fifteen EMP faculty and staff members who will be involved in this event, seven are presenting their research and publications. Dr. Keith Molenaar, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, will discuss “Educating our Engineering Workforce in the Rapidly Changing Context of Higher Education,” which will cover the current state of higher education and describe how universities and engineering organizations must work together to meet our future workforce needs. Furthermore, the ASEM CU Boulder chapter will actively participate as event staff, ensuring seamless execution of the conference. This chapter plans coordinates, and hosts various events to improve engineering students' professional development and introduce them to management concepts within the engineering industry, which will undoubtedly contribute to the event's overall success.
